GeoCliks vs CompanyCam

GeoCliks vs CompanyCam

Both put GPS-tagged photos in front of your crew. Here's where they actually differ.

The short version

Compare coordination, capture records and cost.

CompanyCam offers project photos, reports and client updates. GeoCliks combines a shared Teamspace with network-time checks and a signed capture record. These are different mechanisms, not a guarantee that one photo wins a dispute. Choose based on the workflow your team needs, the records a recipient can inspect and the plan that includes your required features.

Verification has limits

Recorded GPS may be inaccurate or spoofed. Time checks do not prove the scene. A photo code opens the stored record; checking a forwarded file requires comparing its actual bytes with a trusted digest. No dispute outcome or legal acceptance is guaranteed.

What moving over actually looks like

There is no importer. GeoCliks cannot independently establish the original capture time of old photos after the fact. Keep an export of existing CompanyCam projects, choose a switch date and test new captures on one job. Confirm which phones the crew uses (the app is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad; Android is not on Google Play yet) and check export limits before moving a crew. The server signs uploaded bytes and records upload time separately from reported capture time; those checks do not authenticate the scene.

Who this is for

  • Teams that have had a photo's authenticity questioned by a client, a GC or an inspector.
  • Teams that need a traceable photo record alongside other claim or job documentation.
  • Crews that want the documentation to happen without anyone remembering to enable it.
  • Operations that also run deliveries and want proof of delivery in the same account.

Keep CompanyCam if its project workflow, reporting or client access meets your needs. A code and a hash add specific checks; they do not replace complete project records or guarantee acceptance.

Frequently asked

What is the actual difference between GeoCliks and CompanyCam?
CompanyCam documents project photos, reports and client updates. GeoCliks adds network-time checks and a signed record containing uploaded image bytes and submitted metadata. Its public photo code opens the retained record without an account. GPS remains device-reported; a code lookup alone does not test an edited copy. CompanyCam's stamp guide does not specify an independent network-time check, which is not proof that no other mechanism exists.
Is GeoCliks cheaper than CompanyCam?
Compare the plan and seats you actually need. CompanyCam Core is listed from $63 per month for one user, billed annually, with $29 for an additional user and a two-user limit. GeoCliks lists Plus $7, Business $25 with five seats, Crew 10 $45 and Crew 25 $105 per month, plus Free with 300 captures a month. Features and billing terms differ; verify current pricing before deciding.
Can I move my CompanyCam photo history into GeoCliks?
No importer is available. Export and retain the old photos separately, then use GeoCliks for new captures from a chosen date. Old photos cannot have their original capture time independently network-verified after the fact. Do not cancel access to the original archive until you have checked your exports.
Do I have to move the whole crew at once?
No. Seats are included in the plan rather than billed individually, so you can put one crew on GeoCliks for a job, keep everyone else where they are, and decide afterwards.
Does GeoCliks do everything CompanyCam does?
No. Compare the particular project, reporting and client-access features your team uses. CompanyCam's official pricing page describes client updates and additional workflow tools. GeoCliks focuses on capture records, Teamspace, exports and a separate delivery product. A narrower verification mechanism is not a substitute for every workflow feature.
